Composite fillings are used to treat cavities, fix chipped or broken teeth or to decrease the gap between teeth. Composite fillings are a tooth coloured filling. They are durable and typically used for small and medium-sized cavities. They are well suited for treating highly visible teeth like front teeth as they have a natural appearance to them.
As with most dental restorations, composite fillings may need to be replaced in the future. During routine checkups, Dr. Konotopetz will examine composite fillings.
Composite fillings are typically done in one appointment. After the procedure, people may experience sensitivity to hot and cold, but this does subside over time.
